This summer, give your child a stage to shine on—literally! The Lauderhill Rising Stars Talent Show is back, and it’s one of the most exciting opportunities for young performers across Lauderhill and Broward County to showcase their gifts, build confidence, and connect with community.

Presented by Commissioner John T. Hodgson, this uplifting, free event takes place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 6 PM at the beautiful Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (3800 NW 11th Place). If your child loves to sing, dance, rap, play an instrument, or wow a crowd—this is their moment!

Why Your Child  Should Enter

Let’s be real—our kids need more positive outlets. This isn’t just about the talent; it’s about giving our youth a place to shine, express themselves, and feel seen. The Rising Stars Talent Show is all about that good energy.

  • Open to Broward students in grades 6–12

  • Cash prizes: $300 (1st), $250 (2nd), $200 (3rd)

  • Boost confidence and celebrate creativity

  • Stay active and engaged during summer break

  • Make the city proud!

Whether your child performs in school or just sings in their room, this is a safe, supportive space to grow.

How to Enter the Lauderhill Rising Stars Talent Show:

  • Submit your application by Saturday, June 28, 2025.

  • A video audition is required. Upload your video to a platform like YouTube or Google Drive, and include the video link in your application.

  • Download and complete the Performer’s Release Form. You can return it in either of the following ways:
    Option 1 – Email:

    Option 2 – Mail or Drop-Off:

  • Rehearsal is mandatory on Saturday, July 12 at 2 PM.

  • The live show begins at 6 PM the same evening.
