A fire erupted Wednesday morning at a home in Lauderhill.

The house is located in the 3400 block of Northwest First Court.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene as the area was blocked off with caution tape.

According to Lauderhill Fire Rescue officials, the fire was confined to the laundry room.

Lauderhill police and members of the American Red Cross were spotted at the scene, assisting the affected family.

Officials confirmed that seven people who live at the home are being assisted by the Red Cross. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
