A juvenile was injured Saturday night after a stray bullet shattered glass inside a Lauderhill home, police said.

Officers responded about 7:07 p.m. to the 2400 block of Northwest 55th Terrace following a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a child inside a nearby residence with minor injuries caused by shattered glass after a stray bullet entered the home.

The juvenile was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division and crime scene investigators responded to the scene. Police said the motive for the shooting is unknown, and no suspects have been identified.
